Terms and subscription information
Effective · August 17, 2026
These supplemental terms explain Walk With Buddha's free access, subscriptions, local data, educational purpose, and support. Apple's standard End-User License Agreement is the governing license for the app.
Operator and governing agreement
Walk With Buddha is provided by Coding Partners, LLC, a Minnesota limited liability company. These terms supplement Apple's standard End-User License Agreement, which governs the license to use the app. Apple's App Store terms also apply to purchases and subscriptions processed by Apple.
By downloading, accessing, purchasing, or using Walk With Buddha, you agree to the applicable Apple agreements and these supplemental terms. If these supplemental terms conflict with Apple's governing agreement for a matter Apple controls, the applicable Apple agreement controls.
Eligibility
You must be legally able to agree to these terms where you live. If you are a minor, a parent or legal guardian must review and approve your use and any purchase. Walk With Buddha and its website are not directed to children under 13 or a higher minimum age required by local law.
Free preview
Sessions 1–4 are available as a permanent free preview. Walk With Buddha does not plan to offer an introductory free trial for the paid subscription. A paid subscription is required to begin Session 5 and continue through subscriber lessons.
Subscription options and prices
Monthly and annual auto-renewing subscriptions are offered in one subscription group. Both provide access to the same subscriber content for their respective billing periods. The exact price, currency, subscription period, taxes, and any region-specific terms are displayed by Apple before you confirm a purchase.
The annual option may be presented as the primary plan and the monthly option as an alternative. Selecting an option does not create a purchase until you confirm it through Apple's purchase interface.
Billing and automatic renewal
Payment is charged to your Apple Account when Apple confirms the purchase. Unless you cancel, an auto-renewing subscription renews for the same duration at the price Apple presents under its applicable notice and consent rules. Apple manages billing, payment methods, renewal attempts, transaction history, and taxes collected through the App Store.
The app relies on Apple's verified transaction and entitlement information to grant subscriber access. Access can change if a subscription expires, a payment fails, Apple revokes or refunds a transaction, or the entitlement cannot be verified.
Cancellation, refunds, and restoration
You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings. Turning off automatic renewal prevents a future renewal; it normally does not end access before the close of the current paid period. Deleting Walk With Buddha does not cancel a subscription.
Apple administers App Store refunds under its own policies and applicable law. Coding Partners does not receive your full payment-card information and cannot directly alter your Apple Account billing. Walk With Buddha includes Restore Purchases so the app can recheck eligible Apple transactions and restore verified subscriber access.
What happens when paid access ends
When a subscription expires or is no longer verified, subscriber lessons beginning with Session 5 become unavailable until paid access is restored. Sessions 1–4 remain available. Ending a subscription does not intentionally delete journal entries, learning progress, or other app-controlled local data.
If you later obtain a verified subscription again, the app can use the progress remaining on your device to continue your path. Availability of local data still depends on the device, deletion choices, and any Apple-managed backup or restore process.
Local data and deletion
Journal entries and progress are stored locally rather than in a Coding Partners account. You can delete an individual journal entry or use Delete All Local Data in Settings. Full local deletion resets the app-controlled journal, progress, onboarding, preferences, reminders, widget data, and waiting unsent crash reports.
Deleting local data or deleting the app does not cancel an App Store subscription, remove Apple's transaction history, delete a support email already sent to Coding Partners, or necessarily remove an Apple-managed device backup. The Privacy Policy explains these distinctions in more detail.
Educational and contemplative purpose
Walk With Buddha offers educational material, meditation, reflection, and everyday contemplative practices drawing on Buddhist wisdom. It is not a medical or mental-health service and does not provide diagnosis, treatment, therapy, crisis support, professional advice, spiritual attainment, teacher certification, or a guaranteed outcome.
Use your judgment and seek an appropriately qualified professional when you need medical, mental-health, legal, financial, spiritual, or other individualized guidance. If you may be in danger or experiencing an emergency, contact the appropriate emergency or crisis service instead of relying on the app or support email.
Responsible use and intellectual property
Use Walk With Buddha only in accordance with Apple's standard End-User License Agreement and applicable law. Do not interfere with the app or website, attempt unauthorized access, use them to harm another person, or copy, redistribute, or commercially exploit protected app or website material except where the governing agreement or law permits it.
Walk With Buddha's software, original text, artwork, branding, and other protected material are owned by or licensed to Coding Partners, LLC. Buddhist concepts and teachings themselves are not claimed as exclusive property.
Availability and changes
Coding Partners may correct, update, add, remove, or reorganize app and website content and may change or discontinue features when reasonably necessary. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Any change affecting an active paid subscription remains subject to applicable law, Apple's requirements, and Coding Partners' obligation to provide the purchased subscription service.
Future app versions may add features or practices that require updated terms or privacy disclosures. The current terms will be posted on this page with an effective date, and material changes will be communicated when required.
Privacy and third-party services
The Privacy Policy explains how Coding Partners handles local app data, support communications, consent-approved crash reports, website traffic information, retention, deletion, and privacy requests. Apple, Google Firebase, Google Workspace, OpenAI, and their service providers operate under their own applicable terms and privacy policies when providing their respective services.
